The Gravity's Rainbow is an articulated trout streamer that really brings in big browns, rainbows, and bull trout. It is my most popular pattern to date, it has been fished in in 22 states and 3 countries and hopefully more on the way.
This fly comes in at that 6" mark, so it isn't suited for your small river 6 weight type streamer fishing. You're going to need an 8/9 weight. It's a heavy fly but it swims really well- jig it, jerk it, deaddrift it- big fish like this fly.
The original recipe uses medium aluminum sea eyes and premium Ahrex Hooks. size 1 in the rear, size 2/0 up front.
